Personal Protection Tip: Properly Maintain and Upkeep Your Property

Personal Protection Tip: Properly maintaining the upkeep of your real property may deter predatory home-invaders from selecting your home. A well maintained residence does not afford criminals the requisite cover to break into your home and implies that the home is occupied.

Routine upkeep includes mowing and edging the lawn regularly, removing and discarding handbills, addressing peeling paint, promptly fixing any broken windows, and properly fixing structural issues such as delapidated porches, steps, and masonry.

In contrast, a poorly maintained property can send a subtle signal to bad guys that a home is ripe for vandalization. Furthermore, an unkept home may also be targeted by scrappers who have no qualms above stealing bricks, aluminum and vinyl siding, and interior plumbing.
