WWJBD: What Would VP Joe Biden Do? (Baby on the Front Porch)

Last month Vice President Joe Biden gave some questionable self-defense advice. In an interview conducted by Field and Stream Magazine, Biden was attributed with suggesting that homeowners should fire and discharge their shotguns blindly through their front doors as a form of self-defense.

For anyone who has taken a basic and fundamental firearm safety class, he knows how potentially dangerous it is to follow Biden's advice. A basic tenet of responsible firearms usage is to never shoot your firearm until you have confirmed your target and what is beyond it. It is wholly unacceptable and unlawful to just shoot at an unverified target.

Biden's advice was also very disappointing because he was recently asked by President Obama to head up a task force to study ways for our nation to curb access to firearms from violent criminals and persons with serious mental illnesses. It is clear that Vice-President Biden doesn't have a clue about the lawful and responsible use of firearms.

Biden's gaffe is the source of our new blog series of posts entitled, "What Would Joe Biden Do?" Each entry will display a scenario outside of a door and ask if following Biden's advice would lead to a horrific tragedy. As such, this entry displays a picture of a baby left on a porch.
