Personal Protection Tip: Your ability to stay safe will be largely dependent on your ability to recognize a predator. There is a reason why there isn't a picture by the term "bad guy" in the dictionary. He can look like anything.
As such, do not gauge the worthiness of one's character by his physical attributes: race, height, weight, attire, and attractiveness. The only way to identify a bad guy is by his actions and behaviors.
Be wary of folks who are not acting congruent with the environment. The best policy is to leave the area, if practical and feasible, before something can develop. Otherwise, keep suspicious acting persons in your view and at a distance. If necessary, verbally warn them not approach you if he starts heading your way, before taking defensive and/or evasive action.
