Michigan Concealed Pistol License (CPL) Tip: Monthly Practice Shooting At A Target Range

Michigan Concealed Pistol License Tip: Shooting is a depreciable skill. As such, you will need to regularly practice shooting to maintain your ability to accurately hit a desired target. At an absolute minimum, you should fire at least 50 rounds of ammunition per month.

No amount of practice can prepare you for shooting at a bad guy while under stress, however the more you practice and the more intimately familiar you are with your firearm your odds of prevailing will be higher.

Moreover, there is a legal and practical reason to practice shooting: you are responsible for your misses. Thus, if you fire your handgun and miss your target you can be found to be criminally and civilly liable for wherever your bullets come to rest. So, practice often to minimize the odds that you will miss.
