Michigan CPL Instructors Organizes FREE Shooting Event For Local Women

Detroit, MI -- A Detroit based NRA certified Firearms Trainer organized a community safety event in which 40 women received a FREE shooting lesson.

On Sunday, August 12th, 2012 Rick Ector promoted a "Personal Protection Awareness Weekend" event in which dozens of participating women were taught how to safely handle a handgun and how to discharge discharge it at an approved target.

The event was made possible by the Target Sports II Gun Range which donated the use of its Orchard Lake, MI facility, a generous donation of 1,000 rounds of 9mm full metal jacket ammunition from the Black Hills Ammunition Company, and the FREE time donated by several experienced firearms trainers who served as Range Safety Officers.

Event participants were also given a FREE complimentary copy of the latest issue of Women and Guns Magazine courtesy of the Second Amendment Foundation and a FREE gun lock via a donation from the Detroit Police Department.
