Tomorrow morning (Saturday) at 9:00 a.m. - August 30th, 2012 - I will make my first appearance on the "Outspoken Sportsman" radio show. Ostensibly, it is a show broadcast from the Upper Peninsula. We are probably going to do two live segments. I will be interviewed live over the phone.During the two live segments over the air we will discuss an issue that has been discussed a great deal in Detroit over the last 72 hours: the Detroit Police Department's Gun "Buy-Back" Program. That topic obviously is of interest to people who are concerned about gun rights and governmental interference in every aspect of our lives.
According to recent news reports a local county jail system has released over 200 inmates early, there have been 240 homicides in Detroit as of this past Sunday, and there are at least 21 active serial rapists running free in Detroit. Will a gun buy-back solve Detroit's violent crime problem? I don't think so but tune in and give us your feedback!
