Rick Ector Explains The Missed Opportunity Caused By Governor Snyder's Veto Of MI SB-59

On Tuesday, I made a live appearance on Fox2 Detroit's News.

On the news program, I discussed the missed opportunity to help keep Michigan residents safe from violent crime and deranged psychopaths. As we all know by now, Michigan Governor Rick Snyder vetoed Michigan Bill SB-59. It is believed by many that the veto was caused by fallout created over the senseless tragedy in Newtown, CT.

If Snyder had approved the bill, it would have led to better trained Concealed Pistol License (CPL) holders being present in Pistol-FREE Zones. Also, it would have required for gun carriers in those areas to conceal their firearms. Under current law, CPL-holders may only open carry in those places.
