Video: Rick Ector Discusses Detroit DGU and Milwaukee County Sheriff David Clarke on NRA "Cam and Co. Show"
Yesterday afternoon, at 2:40pm EST I made an appearance on the "Cam and Company Show." As you may have heard the show still airs daily on the NRANews web site, but at a new time: 2:00pm - 5:00pm EST. The fourth hour and additional new hour of coverage is on the Sportsman Channel.
During the show we discussed a recent "Defensive Gun Use" (DGU) story featuring an armed Detroit great-grandmother who fought off an attack from a jacker on a bus. In addition, we also discussed the pro-gun comments from a Milwaukee County Sheriff - Mr. David Clarke - who urged his residents to take up arms to fight off criminal attacks until his men can get there.
These days, it seems that a good reason to carry a firearm is getting lost amid the noise being generated by the Gun Control initiatives mentioned by President Obama during his recent inauguration speech. Make no mistake about it, a firearm is a tool of last resort that Detroit residents have available at their disposal to remain as safe as possible in a community that witnessed 411 homicides last year.
