Michigan Personal Protection Tip: Properly Secure Your Internal Door Leading To An Attached Garage

Michigan Personal Protection Tip:

Properly Secure Your Internal Door Leading To An Attached Garage

One popular way that bad guys use to gain access to your home is to compromise the door leading to an attached garage. Many people do not properly secure this internal door that separates your garage from your home.

Instead, it seems that many people are content to solely rely on their garage door and garage windows to keep predators at bay. However, if home-invaders manage to gain entry into your garage, that should not allow them instant access into your living quarters.

As such, a heavy, thick, and solid door should be installed along with a dead-bolt lock and a secure face-plate. In addition, this door should always be locked.
