In today's Detroit News' newspaper, Detroit Police Chief James Craig acknowledges that armed good citizens in Detroit had a role in reducing violent crime in the city of Detroit.
Detroit has seen 37 percent fewer robberies in 2014 than during the same period last year, 22 percent fewer break-ins of businesses and homes, and 30 percent fewer carjackings. Craig says: "Criminals are getting the message that good Detroiters are armed and will use that weapon."
Tomorrow evening, I will be appearing on the NRA's "Cam and Company Show" to discuss Chief Craig's comments. The show will broadcast at 6:00pm EST on the Sportsman Channel.
