Personal Protection Tip: There Is No Such Thing As A Fair Fight

Personal Protection Tip: There Is No Such Thing As A Fair Fight
There is a difference between participating in a competitive sporting event and fighting. All sporting competitions, such as martial arts tournaments and boxing matches, have one thing in common; they have rules.
Moreover, there is usually at least one impartial observer present who has the job of enforcing the rules so that a winner can be fairly determined without someone acquiring permanent and disabling injuries.
In contrast, there are no rules in a fight. When defending yourself against an unprovoked and violent attack from a dangerous predator, there is no such thing as a fair fight. There are no rules or referees present to ensure that you are not maimed or not killed.
There is no unspoken agreement that a robber or other violent criminal will not harm you if acquiesce to his demands. There is no politically neutral referee present to enforce a ban on your torture and suffering. It is not uncommon for victims to be killed after complying with every request presented to them.
If a bad guy attempts to rob you, rape you, carjack you, or home-invade you, your life is in jeopardy regardless of what he tells you. He violated you and doesn't want to face any consequences for doing so. Killing you is a quickly calculated and logically made decision. There are no rules.
A person who has been selected for victimization should do whatever is possible to prevail and survive: Discharging Firearm, Improvised Weapons, Eye-Ball Gouges, and any other mayhem you can bring to the fight. It is truly an "anything goes" environment until the threat to your safety has ended.
Your assailant's physical well-being during his assault upon you is not your concern. Rather, your safety and well-being should be your utmost priority.
Fight hard, fight to win, and fight dirty.
There are no rules.
