Rick Ector Calls for Repeal of Michigan's CPL PFZs in Wake of Oakley PD Scandal
On Sunday, I made an appearance on three segments of "Let It Rip Weekend." In the first two segments, the topic of the Oakley, MI Police Department's alleged practice of granting reserve police officer status for a sizeable "donation" came under fire.
My position is that if a celebrity can pay a couple of thousands of dollars for a CPL PFZ exemption without undergoing training and having to work for the community, it is a slap in the face to CPL-holders across the state. Further, it is a compelling reason to repeal CPL PFZs altogether. Check out the two segments and let me know your thoughts on the matter.
